Brewing beer according to the old tradition

The Augustiner Brewery in Salzburg Mülln was founded by Augustinian monks in 1621. The beer has continued to be brewed according to the traditional recipe, and is done so largely by hand, even to this day.

For this reason, the Augustiner Beer is known for its unique taste. It is also a well-respected tradition to pour the beer directly into stone jugs when tapped fresh from their wooden barrels.

The annual beer flow is estimated at over 18.000 hectolitres.
